Nazareth Hospital, Mokama Celebrates International Yoga Day
Nazareth Hospital, Mokama began the International Yoga Day celebration doing various yoga asanas with the Wellness Centre inpatients, a few of the former patients, their relatives and friends from 8.00 to 9.30 a.m. on June 21, 2022. The theme of the International Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for Humanity’.
Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and it means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Yoga is a practice that brings joy, health, and peace from within. It brings about a sense of continuous connection between an individual’s inner consciousness and the external world.
The fifty participants who enjoyed doing the yoga took part in the discussion conducted by Dr. Ranjan Kumar, B.N.Y.S. about the benefits and conditions in which one should not do certain asanas, pranayama and the therapeutic yoga.
Nazareth Hospital, Mokama wishes everyone good health and whole heartedly promotes daily yoga for all round well-being of our patients and well wishers.
